Empowering Women in Football: United World Academy’s Collaboration with ITC, WTO and FIFA

United World and the International Trade Centre are proud to lead the « SportsForDevelopment” 

initiative. Founded on the values of sports, the goal is to promote inclusive development while 

imparting valuable skills to the new generation and facilitating their employability. We are committed 

to supporting their personal and entrepreneurial development.

Recognizing the international influence of sports, we believe it goes beyond mere practice. Sports 

serve as a true catalyst for development, underpinned by values of tolerance, respect, and peace.


Empowering Women's Football: Unveiling of the FIFA Women's World Cup trophy

United World Academy is dedicated to the progress and development of women’s football. We had the privilege of participating in the event “Making Trade Score for Women,” a collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO) and FIFA HRH Princess Reem Bint Abdullah Bin Mosaad, representing United World, was invited as an ambassador for women’s football

This prestigious event brought together iconic figures in football, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the renowned player Didier Drogba.

It was an opportunity to unveil the official trophy of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, a significant moment symbolizing the commitment of international institutions to the continuous development of women’s football.

Through this event, United World was able to strengthen its commitment to the development of women’s football through its collaboration with the WTO and FIFA. We also took the opportunity to promote gender equality in sports.





Empowering the Youth of Basra, Iraq through #SportsForDevelopment Initiative!


We achieved a remarkable success in Basra, Iraq, with the #SportsForDevelopment

program. This initiative introduced 100 young Iraqis to the world of sports

entrepreneurship.


In collaboration with the International Trade Centre, these young individuals

underwent an intensive one-week training, equipping them with essential technical

skills and cross-functional abilities necessary to excel in the sports industry.


Additionally, this program contributed to expanding their professional network.

We take great pride in having played a significant role in nurturing a future

generation of skilled entrepreneurs in Iraq.


Iraqi Youth Shine in Sports Business Pitch Event!

In January 2023, over 40 young Iraqis presented their innovative business projects 

to a jury consisting of members from United World, the International Trade Centre 

(ITC), and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) in Iraq.

 

This pitch competition marked the continuation of our efforts, initiated in October 

through the #SportsForDevelopment program. In collaboration with ITC and MoYS, 

we provided intensive training in sports entrepreneurship to over 100 young lraqis. 

 

This initiative seamlessly aligns with the ongoing SAAVl program funded by the 

European Union, known as United For Success.

The winning teams received financial rewards and the promise of continued 

mentorship, ensuring they are supported optimally to bring their projects to 

fruition.


Uniting for a Bright Future: United World's CEO took at UEFA Foundation HQ

We were invited to a gathering at the UEFA headquarters on April 7, 2022, alongside

our partners from the International Trade Centre to reaffirm our commitment to

building a sustainable future for the generations to come.

 

During this prestigious event, our CEO, Abdullah Alghamdi, represented United

World alongside renowned figures such as Pamela Coke-Hamilton (ITC), Urs Kluser

(UEFA), and Honey Thalijeh (FIFA). United in a joint effort to promote and celebrate

the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, we highlighted the

virtues of sports as an engine for progress.


ITC and United World Academy Join Forces to Promote Skill Development for the New
Generation Through Sports

The International Trade Centre and United World Academy have joined forces to 

encourage youth engagement in the world of sports during the Dubai Expo 2022.

The goal is to promote interest in skill development for the new generation, with a 

focus on enhancing employability, fostering entrepreneurship, and facilitating 

access to funding.

On this occasion, HRH Princess Reem Bint Abdullah Bin Mosaad Al Saud was 

present as the official ambassador. In her speech, HRH emphasized the role of 

sports as a driver of professional development and shared her insights on gender 

equality in sports.
