United World and the International Trade Centre are proud to lead the « SportsForDevelopment”
initiative. Founded on the values of sports, the goal is to promote inclusive development while
imparting valuable skills to the new generation and facilitating their employability. We are committed
to supporting their personal and entrepreneurial development.
Recognizing the international influence of sports, we believe it goes beyond mere practice. Sports
serve as a true catalyst for development, underpinned by values of tolerance, respect, and peace.
United World Academy is dedicated to the progress and development of women’s football. We had the privilege of participating in the event “Making Trade Score for Women,” a collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO) and FIFA HRH Princess Reem Bint Abdullah Bin Mosaad, representing United World, was invited as an ambassador for women’s football
This prestigious event brought together iconic figures in football, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the renowned player Didier Drogba.
It was an opportunity to unveil the official trophy of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, a significant moment symbolizing the commitment of international institutions to the continuous development of women’s football.
Through this event, United World was able to strengthen its commitment to the development of women’s football through its collaboration with the WTO and FIFA. We also took the opportunity to promote gender equality in sports.
We achieved a remarkable success in Basra, Iraq, with the #SportsForDevelopment
program. This initiative introduced 100 young Iraqis to the world of sports
entrepreneurship.
In collaboration with the International Trade Centre, these young individuals
underwent an intensive one-week training, equipping them with essential technical
skills and cross-functional abilities necessary to excel in the sports industry.
Additionally, this program contributed to expanding their professional network.
We take great pride in having played a significant role in nurturing a future
generation of skilled entrepreneurs in Iraq.
In January 2023, over 40 young Iraqis presented their innovative business projects
to a jury consisting of members from United World, the International Trade Centre
(ITC), and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) in Iraq.
This pitch competition marked the continuation of our efforts, initiated in October
through the #SportsForDevelopment program. In collaboration with ITC and MoYS,
we provided intensive training in sports entrepreneurship to over 100 young lraqis.
This initiative seamlessly aligns with the ongoing SAAVl program funded by the
European Union, known as United For Success.
The winning teams received financial rewards and the promise of continued
mentorship, ensuring they are supported optimally to bring their projects to
fruition.
We were invited to a gathering at the UEFA headquarters on April 7, 2022, alongside
our partners from the International Trade Centre to reaffirm our commitment to
building a sustainable future for the generations to come.

World alongside renowned figures such as Pamela Coke-Hamilton (ITC), Urs Kluser
(UEFA), and Honey Thalijeh (FIFA). United in a joint effort to promote and celebrate
the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, we highlighted the

encourage youth engagement in the world of sports during the Dubai Expo 2022.
The goal is to promote interest in skill development for the new generation, with a

access to funding.
